TWO-TIME SAG AWARD WINNER (Best Ensemble) TANYA WRIGHT TO SNEAK PEEK EXCERPT OF NEW DIGITAL IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE HAIR COMES THE SUN AT LITERACY SUMMIT IN PARK CITY

PARK CITY, UT – January 15, 2026 Two-time Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award winner, author, and education advocate Tanya Wright, who is best known for her portrayal of Crystal Burset in Orange is the New Black, will offer an exclusive sneak peek excerpt of her new digital immersive experience, HAIR COMES THE SUN, at the Literacy Summit, taking place at The Heretic Films Lounge during the final Sundance Film Festival in Park City. She will also participate in a celebrity children’s book panel/discussion on Friday, January 23rd.

Wright, who is also the creator of the popular Hairiette of Harlem children's book series, designed the new experience to connect adults to their own imagination as a tool for navigating real life.

"Story-driven learning that includes children, parents/caregivers, and educators is the future of education," says Wright. "I'm thrilled to share a project that aims to bridge generational understanding through the undeniable power of narrative art during the final Sundance Film Festival in Park City."

The Hairiette of Harlem book series includes The Great Birthday Surprise, Trouble at the Hair Salon, and The Book Club Battle. Wright also created the Hairiette-inspired Nana’s Nook platform, where grandparents can read, laugh, and make memories with their grandchildren.

The Literacy Summit is hosted by Heretic Films on 625 Main Street, running concurrently with the Sundance Film Festival, and is dedicated to essential conversations around literacy, disability, and the future of education.
