“STILL STANDING” PREMIERES AT SLAMDANCE IN THE DOCUMENTARY SHORT PROGRAM

LA Premiere follows world premiere at Sundance)

LOS ANGELES, CA – FEBRUARY 3, 2026 – The short film documentary “STILL STANDING,” directed by Victor Tadashi Suárez & Livia Albeck-Ripka, will premiere at the Slamdance Film Festival. It will be shown on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 4:15 PM PST at Landmark Theatre 5 and Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 7:00 PM PST at Landmark Theatre 4.

This LA premiere follows the film’s world premiere at the renowned Sundance Film Festival last month in Park City, Utah.

Shot on 16mm film, the short follows the aftermath of the Eaton fire, which destroyed over 9,000 structures in Altadena, California. Thousands of others were left standing, but contaminated by toxic ash. STILL STANDING documents the transformation of homes from habitable to inhabitable.

Slamdance will serve as the film’s Los Angeles Premiere and is especially important as the directors, Suárez & Albeck-Ripka, live in Los Angeles and were about 10 miles from where the Eaton fire occurred. The duo made this film to honor those who still have homes standing but may never be able to live in them again.
